CBS.com: Congratulations Van!
VAN HANSIS: Thank you! I am so excited.

CBS.com: Where were you when you heard about the nomination?
VAN HANSIS: I was on the set, and they kept making announcements over the PA saying, "Congratulations Michael," "Congratulations Make-up." Then our Stage Manger looked over to me, and gave me a thumbs up, and I knew!

CBS.com: This is your first time, how does it feel?
VAN HANSIS: I still can't believe that I am a Daytime Emmy Nominee. It's a great feeling. I knew the announcement was going to happen today and I just wanted to know, will I, or won't I [be nominated]? And now knowing that I got the nomination, it's great.

CBS.com: What scenes did you submit?
VAN HANSIS: I picked the scenes with Damian, when Luke confronts him about pushing Lily. I really thought that there was a good range there.

CBS.com: Who was the first person you called?
VAN HANSIS: My parents and they were so excited.

CBS.com: ATWT, especially the younger actors, dominated the categories.
VAN HANSIS: I know I am so lucky to be with this group, and working with them. They are all so wonderful and I am so excited to apart of this. I always write in my blog [on cbs.com] about how talented everyone is on the show, and these nominations, really show it.
